Principal's Message
A very warm welcome to the St John’s, Silkwood community! St John’s prides itself on the culture and traditions built over the years at the school. The school’s proud history began in 1948 when the school was by founded by Parish Priest Fr Alfred Natali and the Missionary Franciscan Sisters. We are a very welcoming community that believes that working together to achieve a common goal brings success for all. Our staff, students and parents remain focused on our sense of being a ‘learning community’ and are proud of their great achievements over the years.
Latest News
Each year the students in the 5-6 class do a re-enactment of the story of the Three Saints. The story doesn’t change, just the students. It’s always a great to watch!! 💐🎉😊

Last Thursday we had a very special visitor come along to our school - Mr Andrew Chinn. St John's and our sister school St Rita's joined together to have a wonderful time singing and dancing along with Andrew. Andrew is a liturgical musician who performs across Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada. We use a lot of his music in our liturgical celebrations and the students love it when he comes to visit.
